General account terms, payment rules and a promotion's special terms can be separate documents. Understanding one does not automatically cover exceptions written in another.
Account rules and promotion rules
General account terms govern the relationship with the service. A promotion can add more specific eligibility, wagering and withdrawal conditions. A game's rules govern accepted bets and payouts. These documents answer different questions, and reading only one can miss a restriction stated in another.
For a fictional first-deposit offer, check who qualifies, which deposit activates it, the credited reward, eligible games, maximum stake, deadline and conversion rule. Keep the amount formula beside the restrictions. A 100% headline without its cap and wagering basis is an incomplete description, even if the percentage itself is correct.
Definitions determine calculations
Net loss, bonus winnings, qualifying deposit and working day can have contract-specific meanings. Identify those definitions before calculating a reward or delay. If one clause uses bonus-only wagering and another appears to include the deposit, preserve both passages and seek clarification rather than silently choosing the more favourable interpretation.
A practical reading record
Save the applicable document or link, version date, market and activation time. Note the exact clause relevant to a disputed action. Do not replace that wording with a remembered rule from another provider. Terms can change, and the rules governing an earlier accepted action may differ from a current landing page. A glossary explanation helps decode the language but does not replace the specific agreement.
In practice
An account may permit a game generally while an active promotion excludes that game from wagering progress. The general availability and promotional eligibility are different rules.
What to check
Identify the applicable documents, version dates, defined terms and conflicts between general and special rules. Save the relevant wording when documenting a question.
