Define the start and end
A session can begin at login, game entry or another stated event. Logging out, switching devices or changing products can affect the clock according to the implementation. A meaningful setting explains whether activity is combined and what occurs when the threshold is reached.
Suppose a 60-minute limit starts at first game entry. At the threshold, the service might stop new play and require a break. A reality check appearing at 60 minutes but permitting immediate continuation is a different tool. The interface should not describe both as the same enforceable restriction.
Time and financial exposure
A time cap does not fix the amount staked within that period. Faster rounds or larger stakes can create more turnover in the same time. Deposit and loss limits address different measurements. Remaining time is not a target that needs to be used, and a session ending does not create an obligation to return later.
Coverage and changes
Check the effective date, change procedure, required break and whether the limit covers all account products. A setting at one provider does not automatically cover another. Existing unsettled bets or withdrawals can have separate handling from the restriction on new play.
If the tool does not behave as stated
Preserve the confirmation, start time, products used and activity after the expected threshold. Ask how the session was calculated. Avoid workarounds through another account or device. If a time cap does not meet the need, a time-out or self-exclusion provides a different level of access restriction. Can an unsettled game continue after the limit?
The provider may allow an already accepted round or bet to settle while restricting new play. That is different from accepting fresh stakes after the threshold. This keeps the restriction's actual function clear and avoids assuming a time limit must erase every outstanding contractual result.
