Some codes are applied at registration, some before a deposit, and some through a promotions screen. A code can be valid only for a specific market or claim period.
Activation is different from eligibility
A bonus code identifies or activates a promotion. Entering a valid code does not establish that an account qualifies, that the credited amount matches a headline, or that the resulting money is withdrawable. The code can be tied to a market, campaign, deposit number or expiry, and an ordinary account may already have an incompatible offer active.
For example, a fictional code activates a first-deposit match only when entered before payment. Entering it afterwards may produce no credit even if the same text remains visible on a landing page. Another promotion may instead require a manual claim after deposit. The activation sequence controls.
Checking a code without guesswork
Use the official promotion page or authenticated account offer. Record the exact code, validity period, applicable currency and reward. Watch for spaces, similar-looking characters and case restrictions if the rules specify them. A copied social post can omit eligibility conditions or refer to an expired campaign.
When a code appears accepted but no reward arrives
Check the qualifying deposit status, minimum amount, payment exclusions and active-promotion history. Ask support to identify the campaign associated with the code and the account action that triggered it. Do not repeat deposits merely to test an unclear activation rule. A code is a reference to an offer, not a standalone guarantee of promotional value.
In practice
A code entered after the qualifying transaction may not activate an offer if its rules require entry beforehand. The required sequence matters as much as the code itself.
What to check
Check where and when to apply the code, which account or transaction qualifies, and whether the promotion has been activated successfully.
