Draw no bet

Draw no bet is a market in which an eligible draw normally returns the cash stake instead of producing an ordinary loss. A selected side must still win for a winning payout, and a defeat loses under the applicable rules.

Three sporting outcomes, two active betting outcomes

The match can finish with a home win, draw or away win. A draw-no-bet selection conventionally maps the draw to a neutral refund, leaving win and loss for the selected side. This differs from a three-way winner market, where backing home usually loses if the draw selection is the official winner.

Suppose ₹100 is placed on team A draw no bet at decimal 1.70. A qualifying team A win returns ₹170, a draw returns ₹100, and a loss returns zero. The draw produces no profit. Returning ₹100 is not a ₹100 win, even if the wallet increases when the reserved stake is released.

Compare with handicap zero

A conventional two-way Asian handicap 0 can have similar outcome treatment. Exact equivalence still depends on period, abandonment and other rules. A regulation draw-no-bet market does not automatically become a wager on the team that later wins a penalty shootout.

Price and protection

Removing the ordinary draw loss changes the contract and usually changes its price relative to a three-way selection. It does not guarantee that the remaining win chance is favourable or that the wager has positive expected value. The side can still lose and forfeit the full stake.

Combinations and promotions

A refunded leg is commonly treated as price 1.00 in an ordinary accumulator, but product rules control. Minimum winning legs, boosts and free-bet stake restoration can have separate conditions. Read the accepted receipt and draw clause before calculating a combination return. Identify the exact period and authorised score record in any settlement explanation.

Is the refunded draw evidence that the whole market was cancelled?

No. A draw can be the specified neutral result of a valid accepted market. The event occurred and the contract applied its draw rule. A cancellation void has another reason even if both return cash. That distinction can affect reporting, promotional qualification and combination recalculation. Preserve the settlement label and rule rather than describing every returned stake as a cancelled event. In both ordinary neutral cases, recovering the original stake is not profit.
